Schedule AppointmentDental Damage From Crooked Teeth
Having straight teeth and an aligned jaw is an essential part of maintaining the health of your smile. Having crooked teeth can increase the likelihood of:
- Infections
- Jaw bone damage
- Uneven wear on teeth
- Cavities
- Toothaches
- Jaw pain
Having straight teeth protects your jawbone and teeth, allowing them to work properly. A jaw that is set forward or back, even slightly, can cause wear on your jaw bones and joints, causing pain and wear and tear.
Gaps or overlapped teeth can trap bacteria and particles of food while exposing areas of the tooth that are typically hidden by other teeth. These can lead to more cavities or infections in those areas. A straighter smile can also promote healthy digestion and ensure that your food is properly chewed before it reaches your stomach.
Invisalign is an invisible solution to your oral health concerns. It will straighten your teeth in a timely manner, with little to no visibility as you get this treatment.
A Straighter Smile, Quickly
If you are struggling with a smile with gaps or crooked teeth, feeling confident may be a struggle. You may catch yourself hiding your smile behind a hand or not smiling when you want. Your low confidence and self-esteem can seriously affect your mental health.
You may think braces, with visible brackets and routine tightenings, are the only way to a straight smile, but Invisalign can straighten your teeth without visible wires. This treatment is quicker than braces, while still providing visible cosmetic results.
Returning your straight smile can be a great way to boost confidence. Find your new smile at James Martin, DMD, by contacting us today.
Kelly’s Invisalign treatment was a super short and easy way to get the straighter teeth that she loves.
Advantages of Invisalign
Invisalign has so many life-changing bonuses but with the help of our advanced technology, such as iTero digital scanners, our Invisalign treatment goes to the next level, reaching even more benefits. Some key features of our Invisalign services with the iTero scanner include:
- Customized Treatment Plans: Invisalign treatment is completely customized to your smile structure and the finished look you want. With this advanced technology, not only is it more accurate, it allows for personalized treatment and results.
- Discreet and Comfortable Invisalign Aligners: You can remove the aligners for eating and cleaning, keeping eating enjoyable and allowing you to protect your oral health with thorough cleanings. Your aligners will be comfortable and smooth, integrating seamlessly into your everyday life.
- Pain-Free Straightening: Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign does not need to get tightened or adjusted regularly. Instead, you will replace the aligners consistently, leading to little to no discomfort as you receive your straight smile.
- Efficient Progress Tracking: Dr. Martin and our dental team employ the latest in orthodontic technology to monitor your treatment progress efficiently. This approach enables us to make timely and necessary adjustments, ensuring that you achieve the best possible outcome from your Invisalign treatment.
- A Quicker Treatment: Invisalign can treat many dental and cosmetic concerns in a shorter period than traditional braces. Invisalign typically lasts for six months to two years for our patients.
Invisalign is the updated, high-quality approach to having straight teeth. We want individuals and families in the Lafayette and Denver area to experience the advanced technology of Invisalign orthodontics. No longer will you have to worry about painful and embarrassing metal braces as you receive your new, straight smile.
Precision and Comfort With iTero Technology
No one likes the old-fashioned goopy impressions, with iTero you do not have to worry about those ever again. The iTero scanner captures precise, accurate, and detailed impressions of your teeth, allowing for precise treatment planning and a comfortable experience. Dr. Martin will also use the iTero scanner to track your progress, ensuring that you are getting high-quality results from your Invisalign treatment.
The iTero scanner uses laser technology, which is more precise and does not use radiation like X-rays do, making it a safer and more comfortable option for our patients.
How Does It Work?
Commonly called invisible braces, Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment that is nearly invisible and is extremely comfortable, compared to traditional braces. Invisalign uses clear aligners that place light pressure on your teeth, moving them over time to their final desired position
We will work with you to create a final smile that meets your smile goals, resolves a misaligned bite, and elevates your oral health.
The Simple Invisalign Process
Invisalign is a simple treatment, that just takes a bit of time—typically six months to two years. You will wear the invisible aligners for at least twenty-three hours a day, but you can remove them for brushing your teeth and eating.
We will be with you for every step of the Invisalign process:
- Impressions: Digital impressions with our iTero scanner will be taken and used to create the aligners, based on your custom smile needs.
- Aligner Creation: We will create a series of aligners for you, that will painlessly and invisibly move your teeth to their final position.
- Changing Aligners: Every couple of weeks you will change out the aligners for new ones, based on your personalized treatment plan created by Dr. Martin.
- Check-Ups: We will have regular check-in appointments to ensure that your smile is moving how it should. If your teeth react slowly or quickly we may make minor adjustments to your Invisalign aligners and treatment plan.
The process will take around six months to two years, with time fluctuating based on how well your teeth adjust and if you wear the aligners consistently. Once your treatment is finished, you’ll have a brand new, confidence-inspiring smile that you’ll love.
Extensive Orthodontic Needs
Invisalign is typically not the best option for those who have extensive straightening or orthodontic needs, such as:
- Overlapping teeth
- Seriously misaligned jaws
- Partially grown-in teeth
- Missing teeth
These treatments often need technology and treatments that can shift teeth more dramatically or compensate for missing teeth. In order to get the best result from your Invisalign treatment, we recommend it for those who have mild to moderate orthodontic concerns, and who are ready for a new smile!

Learn MoreInvisalign FAQs
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Invisalign cost depends on the person and area. The cost tends to be lower if you have less straightening that needs to be done, as your treatment time will be shorter, resulting in fewer aligners needing to be made.
To learn more, schedule a consultation with Dr. Martin, where he will discuss your budget for Invisalign.
Is Invisalign Covered by Insurance?
Often times if adult braces are covered by insurance, Invisalign is also, but it depends heavily on the insurance. We work with many insurance agencies across the Colorado area, so check with your provider.
Does Invisalign Change How I Speak?
It may take you a day or two to adjust to wearing aligners, but since your aligners are custom, they will fit right over your teeth, allowing you to speak normally.
Can I Eat With Invisalign?
You should remove your Invisalign to eat or drink anything other than water. One great benefit of Invisalign is that you are able to eat whatever you would like without worrying about damaging your braces. Gummy and hard foods that you love can still be part of your diet.
Can Adults Wear Invisalign?
Insvisalign is a perfect orthodontic treatment for most adults because it is less noticeable than traditional methods. This allows adult patients to get orthodontic treatment without coworkers even knowing about it.
