WHAT TO KNOW
This versatile cosmetic treatment addresses dental imperfections such as:
- Small chips or cracks

- Discolored or stained teeth
- Misshapen or uneven teeth
- Tooth decay (as a filling alternative)
- Minor lengthening of short teeth
We understand that these issues in your smile can damage your oral health and confidence. Feeling as if your smile is damaged or harms your look can reduce how much you smile and how you feel in social situations.
Chips and cracks can quickly get larger without a dental solution, which is why quickly reaching out to us for treatment is the best way to save your oral health.
Dental Bonding Is the Solution
We use high-quality bonding materials and technology to not only enhance the appearance of your smile but also preserve the integrity of your natural teeth.
Bonding uses tooth-colored resin to cover up dental imperfections. Dr. Martin will mold the resin to build up your tooth and shape it according to your smile needs. Once the resin dries it will become strong and durable allowing you to eat and drink per usual. The dentist will make sure that the result is comfortable and smooth.
The Process for Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is an easy process, usually completed in one appointment. You will schedule an appointment with Dr. Martin, often after completing a personalized cosmetic consultation with him.
You will come in for your appointment, and we will prep the area that will receive the bonding. It has to be roughened to keep the bonding in place. Dr. Martin will then shape the resin and allow it to harden on its own in the next 30 minutes, or he may harden it with a UV light. You can leave with a new smile, free of imperfections!
How Dental Bonding Changes Lives
Dental bonding can do so much for your smile. Dr. Martin offers dental bonding because it offers:
- Customized Solutions | The resin will be color-matched with your natural teeth to give you seamless results. Depending on your needs and goals the resin and bonding will be altered based on the size and shape you want.
- Cosmetic Benefits | You can easily transform your smile and confidence with dental bonding. Say goodbye to chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth with this cosmetic boosting treatment.
- Efficient and Cost-Effective | Dental bonding is a durable, long-lasting, and cost-effective solution for various cosmetic issues. You can get dental bonding without breaking the bank and get back your confidence.
- Improved Oral Health | Cracked teeth can allow bacteria to grow and cause cavities and infections. Dental bonding seals the site and keeps food debris and bacteria from setting up shop, thereby protecting your oral health.
- Fast Improvement | Dental bonding requires one quick appointment, instead of multiple appointments to prep and then place a restoration. Now you can have a revitalized smile as soon as you can get an appointment!

Maintaining Your Dental Bonding Results
To make the most of your dental bonding treatment, it’s important to take care of your smile at home. Avoid habits like biting your nails, chewing on hard objects, or using your teeth to open packages, as these can damage the bonding material. Practice good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and scheduling regular dental check-ups.
Dr. Martin can provide you with personalized care tips to keep your bonding looking fresh and natural for years to come. With the right care, your dental bonding can continue to enhance your smile and boost your confidence.
How Long Does Dental Bonding Last?
On average our bonding lasts 5–10 years, but may last longer with proper care. If you are looking for a long-lasting treatment that can last a lifetime, veneers or crowns may be better suited for your damaged tooth.
If you notice that your current dental bonding is beginning to wear down, we can repair it quickly at our office in Lafayette, CO.
Dental Bonding vs. Veneers
Dental bonding is perfect for a small imperfection that can diminish your confidence or lead to a bigger dental issue down the road. It can’t as easily be placed over an entire tooth that is cracked or discolored though. It might wear off or make the tooth appear unnatural if it were used across a whole tooth. That is when we recommend composite or porcelain veneers. Talk to Dr. Martin about which treatment would be right for your smile.
